I'm a visual artist, designer and educator with a huge passion for community arts practice, collaboration and creative place making. I have studied puppetry, visual arts & design and social education in Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin, Sydney, hold a Masters Degree in Design (COFA, Sydney), a Degree in Social Education (ASH, Berlin) and I am currently enrolled in a Master Degree in Social Change and Development at UON, Newcastle. Currently, I am working as creative therapist, art teacher and art facilitator in day centres for seniors, community art spaces such as Hudson St Hum and schools. Furthermore, I offer special weekly art making classes “The Women's Making Circle”in addition to running Katinka Press, a book making business for children and adults. Sometimes I work as freelance graphic artist designing educational resources for clients and for my own little label Studio MAKARONI and more often I work as a facilitator for creative work shops and place making initiatives or as an artist exploring public art installations, interactive sculptures, collaborative murals and paste ups as a contribution to vibrant, healthy and creative urban landscapes.
