Participatory mural Dulling Street

I got commissioned to create a participatory community mural by volunteers of a local community garden.

The challenge was to get as many  local children and adults involved in all parts of the design aspect while creating a cohesive style and a mural that could fit in due to the residential/ commercial nature of the wall.As part of the the process I offered community workshops and visited 2 local daycare centers. During these visits the children got to create things they would like to see on the wall with wooden shapes and  choose from different colour palettes.
Afterwards I created a overall concept integrating the children and adults designs. It was such a rewarding and beautiful process and the local neighborhood showed real interest and support.
